20th Annual Courtney Hei-Ra Smith Memorial Golf Tournament
The Bristol Soccer Club is pleased to invite you to our 20th Annual Golf Tournament scheduled on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Hawk’s Landing in Southington, CT. This tournament benefits the Courtney Hei‐Ra Smith Memorial Scholarship fund which provides four $1,000.00 scholarships each year to high school students who demonstrate the fundamentals instilled through the BSC program.
Whether you sponsor, golf or make an in‐kind donation, you will support our desire to provide Bristol children with an opportunity to learn and play soccer in a safe, nurturing, and self‐empowering environment. The goal of Bristol Soccer Club is to enable young athletes to grow and develop physically, socially, and emotionally.
Last year we enjoyed a wonderful day of golf, food and prizes this year is expected to surpass last. We hope that you consider participating in our tournament as a golfer, sponsor, donor or combination thereof, and encourage your friends and colleagues to do the same.
Enclosed you will find tournament information along with registration and sponsorship opportunities. The deadline to golf is June 10 and to sponsor is June 1, 2016. We appreciate any and all support for this milestone celebration!

Our mission here at the Bristol Soccer Club is to provide children of all skill levels the ability to have a positive experience playing soccer. Travel is more competitive. This means that the level of play is more advanced as well as the development of the player is expected to exceed. With that said, the focus is still on development and fun, just in a more advanced stage. We at the Bristol Soccer Club will continue to improve on our processes to better the community representation. We will be taking a quality not quantity approach to Travel soccer at the Bristol Soccer Club. We have a strong Recreational program that compliments players not yet ready for Travel play.
As part of the U.S. Soccer Player’s Development Initiatives, CJSA will follow the new birth year and season matrix listed below. There will still be some cases where play ups will apply.

IMPORTANT ITEMS FOR PARENTS:
TRAVEL UNIFORMS: We will have new travel uniforms for the 2016/2017 season. Uniforms must be purchased (cost will be provided at tryouts). In addition, we will be incorporating a new online ordering system to provide parents more control over ordering uniforms/accessories. Here are important details:
A carbon copied uniform order form will be handed out at tryouts.
You and your child will go to the fitting area to complete the form (IMPORTANT: Order big as this will be your child’s uniform for the next several seasons).
Once completed, top form will be handed in at the tryout check in booth so your child can get their tryout jersey (No child will be allowed on the field unless form is completed).
Travel rosters will be posted on June 13th. You will use your copy of the form to go online and order your uniform.
Online ordering instructions will be provided prior to June 13th.
MANDATORY: You will have till June 30th to order the uniform kit online. After this date there will be a late fee added.
BIRTH CERTIFICATES: All new Travel players must bring a copy of their child’s Birth Certificate at the Travel Tryout.
Children must attend both tryout sessions.
No child will be able to step on the field without the following:
Online pre-registration before May 23, 2016
Check in at concession registration booth
Hand in Uniform form
Birth Certificate (if applicable new to travel only)

Bring soccer ball and water bottle
Upon the posting of the travel rosters (June 13, 2016), we will ask for a commitment non-refundable deposit of $50 to secure your spot on the travel team (which will be deducted from registration fee when due). It has become a challenge at the Bristol Soccer Club to field competitive teams when we lose players days before season start or to other sports come spring. As a courtesy we ask for the deposit to show commitment for fall/spring seasons.PLEASE NOTE: If your child plays other sports or premier soccer (which is completely fine), please inform us by entering this information in the comment section when registering your child for tryouts.
More updates will be provided as we get close to tryouts.
Bristol Soccer Club is pleased to announce spring clinics. These clinics are being organized by our premier partner, CT Rush, and will be held every Friday from April 22nd to May 27th. Clinics will run from 5:30 to 7pm. This is open to ages U9 - U14 and costs $75. Sign up prior to 4/18 to get a discounted price of $50. Please see the attached PDF for more information and to register.
The registration link for the clinics is in the attached PDF.
Any cancelations due to weather or field conditions for any practice, clinic or game will be decided by Bristol Soccer Club, and posted on the scrolling marquee at the top of the page, as soon as the decision is made. If, at the time of registration, you selected to be notified by email or text message, you will also receive that cancelation notification for each team or clinic your child is participating in. Any practice that is to be held with a UK trainer along with your coach, will only be canceled by BSC. (The older children often still play in light rain.) For heavier rain, lightning, etc, BSC reserves the right to cancel all practices no matter the location.)
